The Ambassador has kindly arranged to bring this stylish Palladio Exhibition to Galway as part of Open House. “These two contrasting Exhibitions under one roof will create a visual and cultural dynamic, and is not to be missed”, according to Open House chairman, Patrick McCabe. To make this a truly festive occasion, there will also be a “taste of Italy”, food and wine reception, sponsored by Basilico restaurant, Clarenbridge.The RIAI Awards Exhibition will showcase the best of contemporary architecture in Ireland in 2011.The Palladio Exhibition illustrates the work of Italys most famous architect, whose designs have influenced much of Irelands period architecture, including Castletown house, and Bank of Ireland, College Green, hence the expression “Palladian architecture”.
