The Exhibition of the “Irish Architecture Awards, 2011″ runs from October 15th – 20th between 10am and 5pm.
This significant and visually stunning Exhibition gives an overview of the best of Irish Design and Architecture completed in 2010 and 2011.
The Exhibition contains 38 projects shortlisted from 134 entries received across 15 different categories. Aviva Stadium, The Skibbereen Credit Union,and the Long Room Hub at Trinity College all feature. These awards clearly demonstrate the extremely high standard of contemporary architecture in Ireland, which can be showcased on an international stage as an expression of Ireland as a progressive innovative and dynamic nation.
The exhibition also displays amazing new houses, extensions and renovations…of special for those who watch “Grand Designs”.
Of local and regional interest, the following projects are on display:”Milk Market”,Limerick, by Healy and Partners (Overall winner of peoples choice),”Child and Adolescent Mental Health Unit”, Merlin Park, Galway by Moloney O’Beirne Architects, “Claremorris Civic offices” by Simon j.Kelly and Partners, Architects, and “Drive Thru Restaurant”, Ballybrit by Paul Dillon Architects.
